The Pastoral Counseling Center provides courses and instruction that lead to a Christian Counseling degree. Following an open admission, distance learning protocol, the educational programs teach an effective method of Christian counseling based on the Bible and the created nature of each individual as evidenced in the temperament. Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral Christian counseling degrees are available as well as certification and licensing for Christian counselors.
Growing Need For Christian Counselors
There is a significant and expanding need for capable, licensed and certified Christian Counselors. Christians have discovered that Christian Counseling is more consistent with their beliefs than secular counseling. Christian counselors pray with, and offer their clients Biblically sound ideas and counsel.
Different Kinds of Christian Counselors
Some Christians who find our courses beneficial are lay counselors in their church. They are seeking to learn more and edify themselves for this important ministry. They will find much of value here.
Pastors are often asked to provide counsel, but few are actually trained to do so while in seminary. Our courses can provide Pastors with a solid education in Christian counseling without having to return to a seminary. We enjoy many pastors as students. God bless you.

Professional Christian Counseling - Earnings
Professional Christian Counselors may earn above average incomes as a result of the high demand for their services and the scarcity of trained, licensed professionals. God promises to meet our physical needs as we follow His direction. However, Christian counseling is truly a ministry: if you are simply looking for a job, this is not for you.
Temperament Model and the NCCA
The Christian Pastoral Counseling model we offer is provided by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). It is based on the Scripture and the God-given temperament. This comprehensive model provides both a powerful, accurate client assessment tool and an effective framework for creating treatment plans. In the hands of a trained Christian Pastoral Counselor, it provides a reliable, insightful treatment model with excellent success rates.
Admission Requirements
Most successful students come to us with a background of at least having some college. We do offer a BA degree to Christians committed to continuing to a Master's degree.
The primary focus is to provide college educated Christians with a graduate level professional education. If you are seeking a Master's or a Doctoral degree, you will find high quality educational materials as well as well-experienced practical supervision to guide you to become the professional the Lord has called you to be.
Self-Paced No Time Limit
You may gain your education in concert with the other demands of your life and ministry permit. You may start and stop as you wish. There are no firm time limits. Most students find the courses so engaging that they are done in a remarkably short time.
Distance Learning Formats
All of the Christian
Counseling Degrees and Programs are available in both traditional
home-study printed format and an entirely electronic format. It is
possible to change formats if desired.
Pay As You Go
Most students order one or two courses or a phase at a time, and pay as they proceed through their program. There are special incentives offered when you complete your application.
Accumulating a huge debt while gaining an education is not God's best. Our courses, while of high quality, are very modestly priced. The cost of the coursework for our Masters Degree Program is under $4000 and the total program with all the components (supervision, matriculation, license, testing, practicum, degree, membership, etc.) is in the $6000 area. What a blessing to graduate with a Master's Degree without a mountain of debt!

Counseling is a discipline that requires a certain amount of personal training. Pastoral Counseling Center is glad to offer you the highest quality supervision for your educational experience. Dr. Young has been a professional counselor for 30 years. She is eager to share her experience and insight to help you answer God's call. Supervision is provided via email, the telephone and video chat.

Pastoral Counseling Center is a Ministry of the National Conservative Christian Church (NCCC) and is dedicated to educating Christians for the Ministry of Pastoral Counseling. Through its 13 year relationship with the National Association of Christian Counselors and the various associated Colleges and Universities, it trains, interns, certifies, guides, and confers degrees on Christian Counselors. You are invited to join us in this important work.
