Pastor John W. Henry

Dean of Admissions, Supervising Counselor
Raised on a farm in western Illinois, Pastor John Henry received God’s call on his life at an early age. He made the lovely Shelley his bride over 40 years ago. Graduating from Lincoln Christian University in 1971 he continued on to earn a Masters of Divinity degree from Christian Life School of Theology in 1985.
Pastor John's entire adult life has been dedicated to ministry. He has pastored 4 different churches and spent a decade in the international mission field. Together with his wife Shelly, he has authored and co-authored numerous studies that have been employed by many churches both in the USA and around the world.
The couple has presented seminars with topics including Bible Study, Christian Growth, Marriage and Pre-marriage Counseling. They have also teamed up for marriage and family counseling, dealing with a wide range of relationship maladies. Together they have counseled over three hundred pre-marital couples and hundreds of other Christians with a myriad of issues.
Now committed to the students of the International Institute of Christian Counseling, Pastor John Henry is here to encourage and prepare students for the counseling ministry. Also, he is available to be a consultant for Pastors. God has placed on his heart a desire to comfort, counsel and mentor Pastors of all ages and at all stages of their lives. He is particularly interested in helping Pastors who are experiencing “burnout” whether it is in the initial stages or life-controlling. Due to personal experience coupled with his counseling background Pastor John Henry has insight and empathy for those in the ministry who are suffering. If you are in the ministry and need a reliable counselor, confidant, prayer-partner or mentor, Pastor John Henry is available.

She is ready to help you become everything God has planned for you in the world of Christian Counseling.
